At Shaftesbury Park, we aspire to excellence in all we do and this has resulted in us receiving the following prestigious awards:
Shaftesbury Park is proud to announce that we have received the Bronze Eco Schools Award, an internationally recognised accreditation, acknowledging our commitment to environmental education and becoming a sustainable school.
This is just the first step on our journey towards Green Flag status and has only been possible due to the hard work of our school Eco Warriors (10 pupils from Years 2 to 6) who have worked with Miss Carter to complete an environmental review of our school and create an eco action plan based on the results. This will be displayed in our school garden, alongside meeting minutes and information on what are current eco priorities are.
Well done to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement!
At Shaftesbury Park, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is at the heart of our policies, practise and ethos and we are extremely proud to have just been accredited with our Gold-level RR school award.
This is obviously a phenomenal achievement that recognises how the Rights Respecting agenda has become part of the fabric of Shaftesbury Park, with children not only learning about and understanding the Rights they have under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, but also applying this knowledge in their lives and being proactive in effecting the changes they wish to see, acting as global citizens and uphold the rights of others.

This half-term, we were proud to receive the Tribal Award which is an ‘internationally acknowledged accreditation recognising and celebrating excellence in English and mathematics provision in schools’.
Our external test results in English and Maths have consistently been in the top 10% nationally over three years and the quality of teaching continues to be very strong. Our classes are well resourced and the vast majority of children can confidently discuss their progress.
It is a well-deserved recognition of all the hard work of the children, staff and parents in ensuring that our children leave Shaftesbury Park with a solid foundation for exploring many areas of learning.
Shaftesbury Park is proud to announce that we have been accredited with the TfL STARS Gold Award for 2020.
The TfL STARS Award is an accredited scheme which aims to inspire young Londoners to think differently about how they travel to school and how this can impact not only their health and wellbeing but also the environment by reducing congestion and improving air quality.
Our silver award recognises the commitment of Shaftesbury Park pupils to travelling to school sustainably, actively, responsibly and safely and the correspondingly high number of pupils who walk, scoot or cycle to school.
