Welcome to the Seals Class Page!

Year 4 is an exciting year for the children as we prepare ourselves for Upper Key Stage Two. During this year, we will work with your child to help them reach their targets. We will be focusing on reading comprehension, grammar and the correct calculation strategies for Maths. Children are required to know all their times tables and be familiar with their number bonds to 1000, which will aid their acquisition of formal calculation strategies in Maths.

The adults working in Seals Class are:

PE sessions:

PE sessions are on Tuesdays

Reading:

Please read with your child every day.

Children are expected to bring their signed reading log to school on a daily basis.

Homework:

Weekly homework will consist of at least one IPC or literacy task based on the week’s learning and Conquer Maths activities as well as spellings.

Homework is given out on Thursdays. It is due back in the following Tuesday.

Spelling/Multiplication Tests:

Multiplication tests will take place on Tuesdays.

Spelling tests will take place on Fridays.
