Welcome to the Leopards Class Page!

Bienvenue sur la page web des Léopards!

As the first year of formal schooling, the Reception year is an important one, laying the foundation for a successful school career. During this year, we will work with your child to embed new school routines, learn important social skills and explore maths, literacy and other subjects through our termly theme with fun activities and play. The Leopard class are part of the Bilingual stream where children are taught French through interactions, instructions, play and games.

The adults working in Leopards Class are:

Mrs Rachel Burton(Class Teacher)

Mr Andrew Banfield, Mrs Nathalie Pichard and Mrs Mary Hazoume (Teaching Assistants)

PE sessions:

Leopards have dance on Thursdays.

Children should come to school wearing their PE kit which they will wear for the whole day.

Reading:

Please read with your child every day.

Children are expected to bring their signed reading log to school on a daily basis.

Home learning:

In Reception, home learning is a mixture of maths, literacy, knowledge of the world and fine motor skills activities.

The home learning ideas are shared on the Reception web page which is updated weekly. These ideas are linked to the topic/weekly theme.
