Shaftesbury Park renews its prestigious LabelFrancÉducation award

Shaftesbury Park welcomed the French ambassador to the UK, Her Excellency Madame Helene Duchenne, to celebrate the renewal of their prestigious LabelFrancÉducation accreditation, highlighting their position as a leading provider of French bilingual education.

We were also delighted to welcome Cllr Simon Hogg, leader of Wandsworth council, who came to see how the school was building on the borough’s historic links with France.

In 2018, Shaftesbury Park was the first school in the UK to receive the LabelFrancÉducation. The award is given by the French foreign ministry to schools that provide the highest quality of French immersion learning. The school has been reassessed twice since, with the presentation reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional French education.

The ambassador also presented certificates to the students who had passed their Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) exams. The school is a registered DELF exam centre with the French Education Ministry, and many children opt to take their A2 exam, equivalent to a good GCSE pass, before they leave Shaftesbury Park.

Our bilingual education is one of the core parts of our exciting mission to develop children who think about their world, enlarge their world, and change their world, and is open to children from any linguistic background.
