Rights Respecting School

Our school is proud to have sustained its Gold: Rights Respecting Award (RRSA), a prestigious accreditation that highlights our dedication to promoting and embedding children’s rights in all aspects of school life. Achieving Gold is a significant milestone, but maintaining it shows our ongoing commitment to being a rights-based community. This involves teaching about rights, through rights, and fostering an environment where pupils advocate for the rights of others.

By sustaining Gold, we ensure that children's rights are integrated into school policies, practice, and culture, benefiting pupils in multiple ways. First, it enhances their learning and well-being, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Second, pupils develop a deeper understanding of global citizenship and social justice, empowering them to advocate for children’s rights both locally and globally. Finally, our students take an active role in driving progress through our RRSA Steering Group, honing leadership skills and shaping the future of the school.

Our commitment to sustaining Gold means that rights remain central to everything we do, from welcoming new students and staff to continuing our engagement with UNICEF UK and beyond. We are proud to uphold these values and look forward to reaccreditation to demonstrate our ongoing dedication to children's rights.
