The Power of Friendship: Our Friendship Buddy System

At Shaftesbury Park School, we understand that friendships are at the heart of a happy school experience. Making new friends and feeling supported by peers can greatly enhance a child’s sense of belonging and well-being. That’s why have a solid an imbedded Friendship Buddy System. Year on year children have had training in conflict resolution, how to support others in staying positive and problem solving and how to help other find friends. Each class has pupils that take on this responsibility and help to us to ensure that everyone at our school feels welcome, valued and has their right to play respected.
