International education delegation visit to Shaftesbury Park Primary School
While we encourage our children to enlarge their world, sometimes the world comes to them! Late last term we were honoured to host a delegation of educationalists from Czechia who came to Wandsworth to learn more about our unique approach providing enterprise education as a bilingual primary school.
Shaftesbury Park Primacy School is one of just 23 flagship enterprise schools in the world, and the visitors — including civil servants from their ministry of education, local government officials, and school leaders — were keen to find out more about how we teach our enterprise skills and the impact it is making. As well as looking around the school and seeing lessons in action, they were keen to learn about our curriculum design and the school’s ethos and culture.
They were impressed with what they saw, and they commented positively on the confidence, creativity, and curiosity they witnessed in our children.
We are proud to be recognised internationally for the work we are doing. But it is also a reminder that our mission to develop children who think about their world, enlarge their world, and change their world is something they can always do. By acting as proud ambassadors for the school, our children have already made a difference: helping shape education in another country.
